Just as the Serpent Bite and loss of Eurydice was the catalyst for Orpheus’s journey, our love for hops and sour beers was the catalyst for Orpheus Brewing. Serpent Bite is a dry-hopped, sour mash saison, with a tart bite, and notes of orange and tropical fruit.

Slight spice funk nose (no idea, first for me), tart bite of a fruit flavor throughout. Bff birthday beer #4.

Tasty, tasty sour, big and citric and tart with a lovely interplay between the intense yeasty/lacto sourness and the bright orange from the mandarinas. Slight toasted grain underneath the tart front, and a firm bitterness shores up the finish. Modest funk pops up on the fade. Good beer.
