Bottle at home. Five year old. Has a deep brown colour with a very small beige head. Aroma of creme brulee, brown sugar, BBQ, bourbon, game meat and oak. Flavour of oak, bourbon, licorice, smoke, ash and dates. Has a slick and silky mouth feel, fullbodied and a soft bitterness. Really rich and tasteful. Nice smokey tones.

Pours black into a snifter. Mocha head with good retention recedes to mottle surface. Pit fruit and oak aromas. Medium bodied with dark licorice, soy and dark caramel upfront turning to warm oak and espresso in the lasting finish.

Keg @ Northern Monk Refectory, Leeds. Black in colour and mostly alcohol only in aroma and taste. There's toasted and roasted malts in its aftertaste.
