Thank you for sharing tderoeck & Rubin77. Large can sampled @ LIBF 2017. First time I see a black Berliner Weisse. Dark brown, black hue. Nose is dull plastic, hay. Dirty charcoal, plastic, charcoal, fruit is a touch lost, lemon, sour apple. Bit too much strange dark plastic, roast for me. Didn’t really work a combo but interesting.

15/IV/18 - sample @ Leuven Innovation Beer Festival (Leuven) - BB: n/a (2018-395) Thanks to 77ships and Rubin77 for sharing today's beers!

Clear deep brown to black beer, small creamy off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: soft roast, bit of coffee, dark forest fruits, malty, some cow fodder. MF: lively carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very fruity start, soft acidity, bit lemony, bitter touch, clean, lots of grapefruit peel, not very roasted. Aftertaste: dry, bit lemony, lemon peel, bitter orange peel, slightly soapy, more citrus, kumquat and grapefruit. I really loved this one!

Tap, taster. Tasted on the 17/03/2018 at "Barcelona Beer Festival 2018", L´Hospitalet (Spain). Deep dark brown colour with a medium tan head. Aroma of grass, lemon, caramel and cola. Taste is lactic, sour and slightly hoppy. Slightly fruity finish. Next one please!

On tap at The Beer Market, pours a dark mahogany with a small beige head. Nose brings out crusty bread, lightly soured lactic notes, and tart fruits. Flavour is along the same lines, with lactic acid, crusty bread and tart fruits. Pleasantly notes in harmony here, just nothing overly thrilling. Solid stuff.

Keg @ Black Sheep, Dublin [300115]
Dark caramel brown, hazy, off white head, some lacing
Aroma of soft sour fruits, some sweet fruity berries underneath, getting a hint of red grape
Taste - Very fruity, very sour fruits, red berries, blackcurrant, raspberry, sweet fruits behind the sourness. Taste was good but spoilt somewhat by the over acidity
Palate - Light body, very tart, way way too acidic. Finish is rather dry.
Overall - Could only have a few sips. I can enjoy lambics and sour beers, but the over acidity of this made it unpalatable.

Draught at Brew Dock. Redish brown with a thin head. Flavour is em... basically lovely, dry fruity, fruity dry, and then some. This is a lovely beer, at the alco % a superb beer.
