Bottle drunk 4/17/14
Light straw golden, small white head with moderate retention.
Dusty, grassy saaz in the nose are backed by some dry biscuit-like notes, touches of minerals and a fair amount of reserved fruitiness (apples, peaches, apricots). Some further white and black pepper notes, soft, grassy, bitterness and more baked bread.
Firm carbonation and peppery hops make this crisp and quite drinkable, with good attenuation and some sticky caramel flavors giving a touch of brown bread and sweetness. Well-balanced all around. I thought I tasted some tin-like notes at the start, but it’s mostly passing. Enjoyable, wish I would have tried some of their specialty beers.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of TheAlum. Thanks ! Pours a somewhat cloudy, dull yellow appearance with a thin white head. Aroma smells like tortillas with a bit of honey and toast. Pretty decent body. A bit twangy. Slightly metallic. Chewy toasted malty flavor. Cracker / doughy flavor. Slightly fruity. Somewhat lasting aftertaste. Ehhh, not horrible but I probably wouldn’t drink it again.

12oz bottle poured into a pilsner glass at home. After two real good beers I hit two snoozefests. Nothing with wrong with this beer (or the APA) but nothing interesting either. Golden color, medium head. Beer has a light malt sweetness with some light well controlled esters and yeastiness (lactose and tropical fruit). A slightly thicker mouthfeel. Low on hops, a well attenuated finish. Fine but dull.

12oz bottle. Unfiltered orange-tan. Frothy, fading off-white head. Medium bodied, mediocre beer. Not bad, but a little amateurish, unrefined, brewpub feel. Sort of like a thicker, weighed down version of something once-bohemian. Not bad, I could session on this, just wouldn’t buy it again.

From notes. Herbal and grassy. A little fake sweetness. Something is weird here. Maybe i got a bad bottle but something is kinda gross

meh - very lame beer. Most blond ale’s are. Had in Chicago, bottle. Much of what you expect of a blond

Hazy yellow-orange with a short white head, Scent is grassy and grainy. Taste is an herbal, grassy hop over a sweetish grainy malt. Not the best...rather unpleasant.

Bottle. Grainy malt, citrus, and and light grassy hops aroma. Slightly hazy golden orange with a large white head. Sweet honey malt and grassy hops flavor. Medium body, light carbonation.

From a bottle, rather sharp on the buds for a golden ale. Looks could be golden vanilla but this stuff is rather strong, more bitter apa. Same with finish

This beer is a clear pale golden color with a thin fizzy white head that burns away steadily to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of mild hops and toasted malt. Light-bodied with flavors of lightly spiced hops, bready malt and a bit of grain. The finish is lightly bitter with a grassy hops aftertaste. Fairly plain beer overall.
