Forever Ever (Non-DDH)

[2/7/17] Draught at Fools Gold in New York City. Murky golden. "Green" oniony and fruity hops, dry, bitter, light graininess.

On tap at the source. It pours a clear pale yellow color with a white head. The aroma is very citrusy and tropical with some creamy pale malts. The flavor has citrus, grapefruit, pale malts and big notes of pineapple with a little hint of grainy malt in the finish. A bit more restrained hop character than the others on this visit. Good stuff.

Moderately-to-heavily hazy, bright orange-golden. White head atop is small but thick.
Peachy-apricot notes mix with a bit of mango and lime juiciness. There’s a bit of a bland, nutty malt or yeast character dulling the nose somewhat with light minerality trailing off. Not particularly soft, though maybe it’s not intended to be. Kind of green and vegetal (good vegetal) with bits of lemon rind.
Lemon, peach, mango and lime notes seem a bit more dry, bitter and sparse than usual on account of the very dry, cracker-like malt. Quite watery and somewhat loosely carbonated, with some light dough, pepper and tangerine trailing off. I’m not very confident in any of my ratings of beers I had at the Ginger Man and probably will be staying away from there in the future. So take this one with a grain of salt.

On tap at Haymaker pours a juicy pineapple gold with some foamy white head. Nose has tropical fruit and grass, malt and honey, straw, lemon. Flavor has more grapefruit and guava, some under ripened stone fruit too, grass and soap. Finishes dry, but reasonably full bodied.

On tap at Other Half, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops upfront, followed by crisp by crisp crackery malt. Flavour brings out loads of citrus hops, follows by pine and biscuity malt with a bitter astringency. Nicely balanced, with a tad of a hoppy astringency. Excellent.

Mild hopfiger, herb spritziger Antrunk. Etwas fruchtig, grasig herb bleibend, frisch. Spritzig erfrischendes Pale Ale. 10/11/11/11//11

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy yellow gold with medium creamy white head that lasts. The aroma is tropical fruit and pine. Medium mouth, juicy hop, pine, grapefruit, light bitterness, very good.

Tap into a shot glass showing very cloudy yellow with half a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows moderate notes of pineapple and mango. The palate shows clean fruit on the attack - notes of pineapple and mango. Light, refreshing, and sessionable but finishes with a rather large corn-like maltiness on the finish. Light bodied and well carbonated.

Can courtesy of rlgk. Pours hazy pale yellow with a frothy white head that leaves lots of spotty trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is slightly fruity and grassy with crackers, grapefruit juice, passion fruit, star fruit, freshly cut grass, pine needles, minerals and lemon zest. Taste is bitter, tiny fruity, grassy and herbal. Mouthfeel is dry, astringent and light to medium bodied. Finish bitter with grapefruit, star fruit and grass. Solid hoppy stuff. Bit thin and bitter.
