Blonde is an exceptionally refreshing pale ale. The aroma is a fusion of lemon and citrus fruit, and is balanced with light, floral and crisp citrus notes in taste.

[50cl bottle from a deli in Ludlow market square.] A bright straw coloured pour with a fading white head; grainy aroma with a trace of citrus; grainy body with some orange and lemon; then some pithy citrus bitterness to finish.

Cask at the Pup and Duckling, Solihull. Poured a clear golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is light malt and yeast. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a smooth, malt, yeasty, light herbal, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

On cask at Lion. Half-pint shared with Finn. Bubbly, filmy layer to a clear golden body, scattered lacing. Hints of floral hops on the nose. Flavoured with ripe citrus and pale malts. Discreet bittersweet end. Satisfying. (Ledbury 01.02.2020).
