Pieter Maes brewed a ‘one of a kind’ dark and complex beer: the Brewmaster Selection Wild Quadrupel. This beer consists of 5 different specialty malts and one pealed and roasted barley in combination with the sour foeder beer. The acidity provides a high drinkability and a pleasant fruitiness, whilst the different types of malt give way to an abundance of complex and full flavours.

Bottle. Opaque deep brown. Small and fizzy head. Nose: vinous, dried fruit, toast and caramel, minor nail polish. Full body. Flat to soft carbo. Taste: rich dark malts, rich dried fruit, brown bread, just a hint of acetone and vinegar. Complex. Light minus bitterness. In my vision it is a solid quad with minor notes of sour fermentation. Very well-tasting anyway

Bottled. A dark brown beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, over ripe fruits, and fruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, prunes, and fruits, leading to a bitter finsih.

33cl Bottle from Mitra Beukenweg. Clear dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of leather, brown sugar, dark fruits, wood, light acetone. Flavour is sweet, fruity, acetone, light sourness, wood, hint of leather and tobacco, sweet finish. Medium bodied, some alcohol. Not very wild tbh.

Sampled from bottle @ Mitra BeerXperience Oirschot. Nice dark red-brown color, average sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, caramel, raisins, don't get much "wild" but maybe that's a good thing. I like it as it is.

Flesje gedronken bij tasting Mitra Oirschot. Donkerbruin bier. Weinig aroma. Smaak is koffie achtig en de nasmaak is iets bitter.
