Delightfully moreish, this revivifying blonde ale has an abundantly refreshing citrusaroma. This intensifies into a deliciously deep wave of lemon and lime, ending with a lengthy mellowing bitter finish.

23/7/2020. Served straight from cask cellar cooled at The Duke Of York, Ipswich. Doesn't get much better than this serving wise. Poured pale gold with a small frothy white head. Aroma was fresh, hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, straw. Moderate sweetness and light bitterness. Moderate body, soft carbonation. Have had this beer before and didn't think much of it but freshly tapped, very good.

Cask @ Shrewsbury Real Ale Festival, July 2018. Pours a deep dark brown, off-white bubbles. Dark fruit nose. Taste is soft citrussy grapefruit, lemon, a little pedestrian and unexciting.

(Cask at Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak, London, 24 May 2018) Copper colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of apricots, caramel and tea. Malty, fruity taste with apricots, caramel, orange peel and a mild bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness.Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

Cask, shared with friends at Fat Cat in Norwich. Warm golden body, dotted spots on the glass. Mild floral hops on the nose with hints of grain. Blended taste profile of lemony hops, grass and toffee. Mid-sweet fruity endnotes. Rather flat in the mouth. Accepted, not more (18.02.2017).

Cask pint, hand-pulled in the Pheasant, Wellington Shropshire on 5th Sep 2016. Wish I had read the tasting notes on the chalkboard before ordering! This is yet another clear, light golden brew that majors on citrus flavours: grapefruit aroma and flavour with a dry finish. Refreshing, the first pint of the day, but I am just bored with this style now. Scored objectively, and I did actually enjoy it’s thirst quenching qualities, even if my write up does not show that too greatly.
