Bottled with a deep dark pour and tannish head. Dark malts, vanilla and berries. Pretty giod

On tap at Devil Craft Kanda, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is extremely rich, with big bourbon barrels, some vanilla, and plenty of raspberry. Flavour is robust yet not too brutal, with intense raspberry upfront that melds with the roasted malt, light vanilla, and barely any bourbon. Juicy raspberry marries the roasted malt to perfection. Excellent.

Super deep dark brown coloured body with an oily glow on top and a relatively fast-dying tan head that starts off at around two centimetres in height and leaves a thin layer after a few minutes. Aroma of big rich malt notes with a lot of roasted malts, oatmeal, vanilla, grain and a lot of creamy lactose notes noticeable, but the raspberries are seemingly pretty soft now, with some pitted fruits, raisins, figs and especially molasses scents coming from here with of course a lot of emphasis on the sweetness, but the alcohol is noticeable too, with the roasted malts the strongest. Medium to Full-bodied; Very nice balanced flavour of roasted malts, but the raspberry really shines through and even leaves a tart flavour at the beginning, with more of a vanilla, creamy and especially sweeter finish, but the immediate taste of raspberries and malt is very nice. Aftertaste shows some rich malty notes, but the sugars and especially the raspberry notes take over and leave a complex, robust finish that is balanced and flavourful without being overpowering, but that could be due to the age. Overall, a very nicely structured and especially well-balanced beer that is sweet, rich, roasty, tart and flavourful without being cloying, too strong or too deep - great throughout, and while I aged mine a good deal, this may be nice enough right away? I sampled this corked and caged, 75 cL bottle, purchased from Costco in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 28-February-2019 for US$10,99 sampled a bit more than three years later at my house here in Washington a few blocks away on 08-July-2022.

12 ounce bottle from Total Wine in Reston, VA - viscous black pour - sticky tan lace - raspberry provides a really nice fruity and tart balance to to obviously sweet base beer, so this actually presents as medium tart, medium sweet, with strong tannins and a mild underlying savory quality - moderate whiskey warmth and only a hint of vanilla - flavors intermingle to give faint touches reminiscent of red wine - tart finish - I quite enjoy this.
I had some concern cause this was sitting in my fridge for months (dated dec17 2020) I guess a year actually 😅 but it's actually quite nice, light raspberry, medium vanilla, nice base stout notes of chocolate and hints of boozy.
Dark black body small creamy tan head. Bourbon vanilla raspberry caramel aroma. raspberry bourbon vanilla chocolate molasses flavor. Full body moderate carbonation. 7/5/8/4/17 4.1

12 oz. stubby bottle. Aroma is strong raspberry on top of soft bourbon. Light notes of chocolate. Flavor has roasted malt backbone with plenty of full rich raspberry. The bourbon rounds out the flavors and has a soft warming in the finish. Bourbon also cuts the sweetness of the berry. Real nice!

12 oz bottle my daughter got me from Tavour. Nose is raspberry with hints of vanilla and bourbon. Black with a medium, lightly lacing cinnamon tan head. Flavor is mostly tart raspberries with a little sweetness.

Stubby from Tavour. Pours very dark brown with a large foamy/creamy dark tan head. Aroma of raspberries and chocolate. Approaching full bodied. Flavor is raspberry, chocolate, burnt malt and vanilla notes. Not sweet. Reasonably bitter. Earthy in the finish. Interesting and tasty.
