The second beer in our series of hop-focused brews for 2018, this dry hopped blonde ale features Enigma hops backed up by Amarillo and Mosaic. Tropical, berry and citrus aromas sit on top of a soft base, with the bitterness dialled back.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 30th August 2019. Slightly hazy gold with almost no foam or lacing. Caramel malt aroma with fruitiness. Richly fruity in-mouth with berries, citrus zest and a fine blend of spices. A zesty and fruity finish with nutty maltiness. Medium bodied with a velvet smooth mouthfeel. A well-crafted, fine ale with plenty happening.

On tap at Candid, Stafford. A first try for the nose gave me wooden panelling & floor polish ! A second try showed there was some slight lemon hints. Pours a crystal clear golden yellow with a small white head. Initial mouthfeel is peaches, but later on the sharpness of lemon rind and a hoppy biscuit flavour come through. Carbonation comes out on the tongue. Finish is lemony and hoppy. Nice, but not really my kind of beer.

Can shared at Leightons place. A mostly clear bight golden coloured pour with a lasting lacing white head. Aroma is lime, floral notes, straw, lemon rind. Flavour is composed of crisp light grains, lime, lemon, mellow Belgian yeast. Dried citrus. Palate is soft, airy carbonation, semi crisp finish. Good.

Can shared in London - cheers to Fergus. Pours clear yellow with a foamy, white head. Not bad, some crispy pale grains, grass, lemon peel. Light bodied with actively carbonation. Lightly bitter finish, more grass and lemon rind, pale grains. Fine.

Can thanks to Fergus. It pours clear yellow - good with a foamy white head. The aroma is soft, fresh, bright, floral, clean, doughy bread and twist of citrus. The taste is crisp, dry, quite clean, lemon peel, lemon curd, straw, grass, minerals and soda water with a floral, dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Ok.

500ml can. Pours clear golden with a fluffy white head. Aroma of citrus fruits, floral, grass. Taste is the same, citrus fruits, light grapefruit, floral, grassy, light bitterness. Light-medium bodied, soft carbonation. Good easy drinking session beer.
