From Amstein, best before 05/25, drinking this can tonight with my wife. Good ipa, really smooth for the style, cereal with a good peachy note, yeasty, citrus and subtle bitterness at the final, citra hop, giving a herbal and soily note

Can from a Sainsbury's in Edinburgh. Bit piney hop with malt, touch of caramel, grapefruit, citrus. On the sweet side with a mild to medium bitterness. Decent.

500ml can. Pours a cloudy orange with a white head. Aromas & tastes of passion fruit, citrus & hops. Medium body. Light bitter finish.

Lattina. Un territorio olfattivo dominato dalla frutta tropicale. La finezza olfattiva è normale e la maniera in cui permane è appena percepibile. Il manto birroso superiore resiste abbastanza. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. La parte liquida si presenta velata. Il colore è giallo ambrato. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è pronunciato. La forza gustativa è normale e permane in maniera sufficiente. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Il retrogusto è di media intensità. In bocca l'aroma è quello di miele, crosta di pane, frutta secca, un accenno di resinoso, agrumi, pompelmo, ananas, mango e frutta tropicale.

Can from Lidl. Pours a dark clear gold, small white head, good retention. Aroma of light tropical and citrus notes notably orange and peach. Taste of biscuit, light toast, pine resin, citrus zest, quite bitter. Medium bodied, smooth. Its ok.

Can 50 cl. Pours a clear golden with a rough, white head. Tropical, almost perfumy nose. Medium body, dry and fruity again with distinct tropical hop notes. Bitter finish. Quite nice really. 120624

Si l'on considère le titrage de 5,5%, cette Tropical IPA est très honorable. Elle n'en reste pas moins inconstante avec de réelles limites. Le visuel est sur un blond très légèrement voilé avec de grosses bulles peu soutenues et une mousse blanche disparate. Le nez est appréciable sur l'orange, les fruits exotiques, le citron et le résineux. La dégustation commence par une attaque avec une amertume sympathique bien que légèrement agressive mais sur un ensemble qui manque de vivacité. Côté arômes, le résineux ressort davantage et écrase quelque peu le fruit. La deuxième bouche est dans la lignée avec des arômes d'une bonne intensité mais une bière qui manque de vivacité. Le Houblonage à cru est tout de même trop poussée amenant une petite agressivité. L'arrière bouche retrouve un peu de dynamisme mais sur des arômes un peu moins intenses. Les fruits reviennent par contre plus sur les devants. Le final est décevant, court et sur une amertume simple. Inconstante.

Canned 500ml. –from Iper Tosano Ferrara, shared with Marko & hrabren. Hazy orange/golden coloured, medium sized white head, light stale herbal nose. Sweet malty, stale hops, light herbal and weak fruity touch in the finish.
