Tasting glass @ Billie’s Bier Kafétaria. Pale hazy citrus, small white. Nose is nice lemon, juicy, citrus hop. Nice atypical these days citrus fruit & lemon hops, low chalk, bit doughy but nice citrus hop, bit doughy but easy drinking, nice lovely citrus hop forward beer.

English ISA from a blue can, at Kantien in Ghent. Thick and frothy, snow white, large-bubbled, stable, lacing head and hazy yellow golden blonde robe. Bit dank but also vividly citrusy aroma of lime juice, lemon zest, green onions, marijuana, pond water, raw pineapple, frying shallots, unripe pear and a volatile, quickly gone whiff of manure, weirdly for this type of beer. Cleanly and somewhat restrainedly fruity onset of green banana, slight pineapple and hard pear, under a very sharply numbing carbonation effect with minerally effect; light, white bready and cereally malt body, leading to the highlight of this beer: a brisk, bit dank and oniony but otherwise colourful and spicy, aromatic hop bitter finish in which, totally unexpectedly, a dash of sweet orange juice shines through. Remains quite light-footed both in flavour and in aroma, but all the key points of a decent session IPA are there so this does its job properly enough.

Off white thin head left a smittering on a hazy dark lemon coloured body. Bubble gum, Haribos & peach aroma. Medium to thin bodied, sparkling on the tongue with a clean back. Feels very light on the palate. Pine, outdoors, bitter hops, bitter citrus, zest & & nectarine tastes. Tastes very clean & fresh.
