33cl bottle from Boxbeers. Bbe 01.09.2019. Poured near black with a thick off white head. Rye bread dominating the aroma at first, then comes some toffee and biscuity notes as well. Flavor has rye bread, hops, then all of a sudden strong salty licorice kicks in, salmiakki. Finishes dry, very hoppy, some sweetness as well before that. Interesting, somewhat complex brew. Good drinkability.

25th October 2016
Clear amber - brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is airy, semi dry and has reasonable fine carbonation. Slightly papery malts, thin dry malt cream. Bitter dry floralness. Mild tangy fruits. Dry bitter finish. Too much like hard work.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy, dark nutty brown with a rich and creamy, lacing, beige head with good retention. Pretty nasy and gooey yeast sediment in the top of the bottleneck though. Some subtle, citrusy hops in the nose, atop some caramel. Rich, malty body, somewhat nutty with a dry but not overly hoppy finish. Sort of a strong Brown Ale but strangely characterless. 200116

Dark chestnut, creamy and thick light tan head. Malty, roasted aroma with notes of hops and coffee. Roasted flavour with slightly piney bitterness and some fruity notes as well. A little rough but not entirely unpleasant.
