Red Ale fermented with house souring culture, and barrel aged in bourbon barrels before being transferred to port and sherry casks for conditioning. Lots of barrel funk aroma and a crisp dry sour flavor.

Bottle shared in London - cheers to Cloin. Pours clear brown with a creamy, small tan head. Novel stuff, with notes of tart cherry, light vanilla, old leather. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Tangy berry finish, lightly acetic, nips of toffee, light earth. Nifty.

Bottle split at L6 tasting, picked up online, 09/10/19. Murky mahogany brown with a decent beige covering. Nose is funk forward, tangy dried fruits, damp oak, light pissoi wave. Taste comprises bitter sweet fruit esters, cherry skins, light tobacco pouch, vinous notes, fruit balsams, red grape must, barnyard esters. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a balanced acidic rise. Decent Flanders.

30th Sep 2019, Shrewsbury Beer Exchange in Chez Sophie. Cheers Mike for the 12 Fl Oz bottle, grubby brown body, weak off-white head. I thought it was like 'Oxidized Barley Wine meets Flanders Red'. Luckily it grew on me as I sipped and sniffed my portion (a 5th of the bottle).

355ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Sep 19. Pours hazed brown, thin off-white sparse head. Light sour funk on the nose, oxidisation hints. Nice Flanders acidity, rosy, cherry with some nice bourbon flourishes on the close, vanilla, oak etc.. Interesting.
