2019 750mL bottle drunk 4/28/26.
Unlike the previous 4 I had (all 2018 750mLs) from FF recently, this one had a tiny pop upon decorking and even a vigorous pour failed to yield any real head. But it's still carbonated, just much, much less so than the raspberry lambics from them.
Beautiful cherry and Brett with, still, a touch of acetic, though it seems less than in their raspberry beers. Cherries are beautiful, showing no sugar at this point (if they ever did). Fully fermented out with mineral, skin and such being prominent. Not funky, but a good mix of lactic and Brett. Wheat-like grain character doesn't much play in to the nose.
As with their framboises, the kriek is all about the fruit. The cherries are beautiful, but the beer has that same pinch of acetic that really rubs me the wrong way. The higher-than-average oakiness doesn't help with it, either. Still, a fairly round, wheatslick texture and not too powerfully acidic, but maybe a bit more so than I'm looking for these days.

Bottle @ Dangerous Bottleshares first of 2017. Pours hazy juicy orange red with a small white head. Aromas of sweet cherries, tannic as fuck, cherry pits, vinegar, oaky, red grapes, horse blanket. Taste is sweet, cherries, tannic as fuck, cheesy, red apples, vinegar, horseblanket, lactic tart finish. Super weird but nice.

Thanks to David S! 750 ml. bottle split by 4. 2015 Vintage. Orange amber, not the red that I expected, soapy white head. Nose is a bit much on vinegar with air plane glue, strawberry sweet fruit & cherry, odd. Taste is airplane glue, sweet glue, low vinegar, acidic, sour profile is a bit too glue-heavy for me, acidic finish, finish is cherry but sweet with even sweet strawberry-like fruit which clashes with the rest of the beer. Very messy, bit too glue heavy,… Body is glue, vinegar upfront, tick fruit in the back. Quite messy with lesser part, not bad but not a great kriek for me, looking at the scores on here. Didn’t quite get this one.

Thnx to David S. Pours unclear amber. Small white head. Smell is full, funk, dry, cherries ( mildly ) very woody. Almost to the cantillon style of funk, impressive. Taste is full, sharp intense sour, full funk, still get a similar funk to Cantillon. Very mild cherrie notes. Some very minor 'sweet' aroma from the fruits. This is extremely impressive, and reminds very much of a Cantillon-funk. Wether this was the original goal or not, it is damn well done.

Poured from a 2015 vintage bottle. Aroma is full of cherry notes with a really nice funk. Some nice herbal and earthy notes with some light hay notes. Light oak notes. Pours a burnt amber orange color with some red hues and a medium sized, moderately thick, slightly off white head. Light lacing and no legs. Flavor has a moderate acidity with quite a bit of oak and tart cherries. Some medium light bitterness. Quite a bit of funk with lots of herbal and earthy notes. Lingering acidity, oak and bitterness with some light cherry. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high to high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really nice American kriek with a ton of funk and oak notes. Could maybe use a bit more cherry, but the funk on this is amazing. A bit too bitter.
