Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - an attractive deep amber with a slightly off white generous head. Nose - orange going into marmalade. Light woody note. Taste - apricot dried. Marmalade again. Palate - medium to full bodied. The finish is quite sweet which is not a problem at this strength. Overall - good.

19/XI/19 - 33cl bottle @ HoReCa-Expo Gent, BB: X/2020 - (2019-1870) Thanks to the brewers and the Ghent Beer Posse for sharing today’s beers!

Clear blond beer, irregular white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet & sugary impression, candy, caramel, lots and lots of pink bubble gum, ripe banana. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet, little bitter, malty touch, bit metallic, decent. Aftertaste: banana, more metallic flavours, gentle bitterness in the finish as well. Rather boring.

20th Aug 2019, Shrewsbury monthly share at Chez Sophie. Cheers to Mike for this 330ml bottle of sweetness. Clear golden body, white topping. Boozy and sugary, lightly spiced maybe, mild yeast presence for that 'triple effect'.

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Aug 19. Thanks Mike for this. Pours a lightly misty gold, frothy patchy white head. Aroma brings gentle yeast, cream. Confidently sweet taste, yeasty, sweet cream, a touch boozy, a touch cloying perhaps, overall too sweet.

Bottle from Drygate's Bottle Shoppe. It pours clear amber with decent foamy white cap. The aroma is sweet, sticky, loads of estery tripel vibes... pear drops, icing sugar, melon, toffee apple, as well as some oiliness, spice and cereal. The taste is slick, oily, pretty sweet, boozy alcohol bite, honeydew melon, honeyed cereal, pear drops, dried apple, powdered sugar, bit of spice, varnish and hint of pva glue with a sticky and warming finish. Medium+ body, fine carbonation and oily mouth - feel. A pretty classic style Belgian tripel. Not bad.
