Keg at the Lyric, Soho. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The aroma is rich, sweet, oily, honey, stewed orange, tropical vibe, mango, tangerine, passion fruit, candied peel and marmalade. The taste is smooth, bitter, oily, resinous, pine, hop spice, juicy, sweet tangerine, mango, kumquat, pineapple, green banana, honey and a touch of alcohol warmth through the finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and slick mouth - feel. Drinks way easier than it should. Pretty nice.

I’m always keen to try the big beers out there. Found in tap in Soho in London, pricey for a half pint but whatchagunnadew. Has a good pineapple grapefruit aroma, a small head and foggy orange body. Flavour is strong fruity sour hops with malt hints, well balanced, abv nowhere to be found. Dry finish and nice and oily. This is a good, big satisfying double IPA.

Chelmsford Summer Beer Fest. Cask. Almost clear gold beer, good bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth, fairly dry and has reasonable fine carbonation. Soft malts, some honeyish sweetness. Resinous citric peel, ripe mango, pine and mild hop spice. Smooth finish. There is some drying alcohol but no real heat here, drinks pretty easy for 11.0%
