Our brewers at Bath Ales must have been California dreaming the day they came up with Monterey.
Full of pine and tropical notes, this pale ale was born but not raised in the USA thanks to its three American sourced hops. Destined for long, lazy afternoons, it’s a refreshing, flavourful and sessionable beer as golden as the sands of Monterey Bay.

Can from Beer 52 – drank at home. Pours a golden yellow with minimal white head. Quite a bit of citrusv / tropical hints in the aroma, limes, tangerine and pineapple for starters. In the mouth it is more the bitterness of hops that is first apparent. The fruit is still there, definitely orange and mango plus hints of grapefruit and melon. Smooth texture and some sweetness towards the finish. This is rather good – plenty of bite for its strength.

Thin off white head on a still clear amber coloured body. Fruity citrus & malt aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with a sharp back. Unrecognisable fruits & malt tastes followed a limp finish. To be fair it's not bad as a Sesh beer.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A bright amber pour with a loose white head; tangerine aroma; rather sweet citrusy taste; and a lightly bitter finish. A pleasant fruity pale ale, but rather underwhelming.
