Each pressing season the pile of Dabinett apple pulp mysteriously attracts the ducks from a nearby pond. So we gave our feathered friend a distinguished dress sense to match a distinguished sense of taste. As a result the full bodied juice produced from Dabinett apples creates a well-balanced single variety cider with an unmistakable depth of flavour.

Can from Westlands Farm Shop, Winchester. Clear light gold with a (gradually) thin(ning( foamy translucent white head. Aroma combines sweet juice with a sour dry edge. Flavourwise it has a dry peel bitterness and tanines with a sour edge. Peripheral light sweetness. Light. Thin. Soft-flat carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Inoffensive.

BIAB at Newcastle Beer & Cider Festival 2024. Golden colour, bubbly thin white foam head and aroma of apple, fruity. Taste is sweet, apple, fruit, baked apple notes, with some light acidity and drying tannin. Medium bodied, low carbonation, medium drying finish. Quite OK.

On tap at The Stable - Birmingham, pours a cloudy blonde with no head. Nose brings out musty dry apple skins and the tiniest hint of farmhouse character. Flavour is very floral, with a floral apple character and lightly sweet green apples. Floral, only lightly sweet; not terribly complex. It's alright.

Keg @ Stable, Birmingham. Pours misty yellow, light sparkle. Aroma is curiously sweet, peachy perhaps with overripe pear. Continues to taste, with a juicy light character.. quite a good showcase for this classic cider apple though I've never tasted it as sweet as this before.
