Relativ trockener, moderat saurer Beginn. Spritzig, milde Herbe, etwas monoton. Kurzer Abgang. Okay. 8/7/7/7//7

75cl bottle from the National Brewery Centre shop, Burton-on-Trent. What a find this is. Pours a misty pale yellow, distinct fleshy fruit on the nose. Quite a good initial impression, high juice content with some satisfying fleshy fruit notes coming through, clearly quite a privilege to taste this rare cider apple variety which is new to me. Soft acidity, nice gentle tannins, medium dry. Really good this.

Bottle from the BK Cider House holiday market. Duvel glass. Clear, vibrant, pale gold. Banana esters, almond, spice & sharp, enticing apples. Taste is bitter leafy greens, rigidly sharp apples & pithy cherry pits. All very extreme, but mellowing out & giving way to a soft, almond-like finish. Bit surprised, as I did not enjoy this at the festival, but age & calmness seems to have bettered this one.
