Dark brown. Fairly thick. No head. The aroma is iodine, peat, rich soy sauce...intense, definitely showing up. Thick body, rich, but it's not actually that sweet, not sugary. Some alcohol in the finish. A lot of peat smoke throughout. Doesn't seem especially refined, it's mostly a smoke bomb, but it's not bad.

Bottle from Piwna Central, Poznan. Hazy black, thin, beige head. Aroma of soy, chocolate sauce, black olive, toast, dark fudge, burnt wood, beef jerky, whisky, tobacco. Taste has sweet prune & date in a chocolate-malty, fudge-like body; bitter coffee note and strong umami, smoky notes of meat & soy in the back. Herbal hoppy finish, peppery, toasty, chocolate, smoked meat and peated whisky alcohol lingering. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Quite chewy on the umami aspect but works well.

imperiál. a közel 10% alkoholtartalma ellenére alkoholt egy pillanatig nem éreztem a kortyolgatás közben. habja is gyorsan illan. teste nagyon könnyű, mondhatni már-már vizes, könnyen iható, nem az a kőolaj fajta. a 45 ppm igazán megsüvegelendő. füstőssége meg ér egy misét, de még két füsti fecskét is. a malátakombinációja kiemelkedő, a zabpehely is igazán a helyén van.

Butelka. Brązowe, klarowne, kremowa piana szybko zniknęła. W aromacie karmelowo-czekoladowe z wyraźną, ale nie dominującą nutą torfową. W smaku słodkie, karmelowe. Torf i czekolada zaznaczone, ale mniej wyraźne niż w aromacie. Kawy całkowity brak, kwaśności brak. Goryczka średnia. Bardzo fajnie wyważone i zbalansowane piwo torfowe. Gdyby nie tak słodkie, to stwierdziłbym, że lepsze niż Imperialny Nafciarz Dukielski. Mam jednak zagwozdkę, bo w porównaniu do Nafciarza (który jest brown porterem a smakuje jak stout), ISJ mieni się soutem, a smakuje jak brown porter.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L's place. Thanks Stas. Brown, tan foam. Peaty smokiness, coffee, roast, soy sauce, sweetish, caramel, umami, bitterish finish, a bit of alcohol.

Bottle (thanks kuba). Pours dark brown-black with beige head. Aroma is massive smoke, peat, smoked shit, malt. Flavor is sweet and bitter, roast, sugar, malt, peat, chocolate. Overall: great brew.

Bottle. Dark brown color, yellowish foam. Aroma: smoked, peat, oak chips, caramel, dried fruits, esters, smoked whisky. Smoky taste, caramel, whiskey, slightly prunes, light bitterness.

500mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Nose is loaded with peat, smoked malt and a hint of roast. Flavour is robust, with lots of roasted malt, plenty of peat, and smoky ash. Lots of roast and peat on the palate, with a touch of residual sweetness. Excellent.

500 ml. bottle. BBF 18062018. Dark brown, head disappears. Nose is peated soy sauce syrup, mocha, caramel, mellow peat but clearly there, bit boozy. Soft carbonation, bit thin chocolate syrup with cheap pralines, peated, faint mushroom, simple, brown sugar, too peated basic umami / portobello for my taste.

Bottle. Opaque black. Small tan beige. Nose: smoke, very roasted, peat, dried fruit, vinous. Similar taste. Medium body. Powerful. Very solid.
