Lingering blueberry meets searing sour to discuss a treaty within the mouth. A blend of berry’s works alongside a light malt bill to create a complex sour.

Cask @ Ale House, Chelmsford. Nice head with short duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich fruits, berries, citrus, lactose acid and hops. Nice sour finish.

Keg. Ham.nts Oktoberfest, 13/10/17. Sweet bluberry aroma. An opaque brown. Tastewise it's bluberry juice. No particular sour element to it. Palate, fruit juice again. I liked this but it was more alcopop than Sour/Wild Ale.

330ml can @ Blind Tiger, Shrewsbury. Appearance is unclear as room was dark, but it seemed to be a dark purple colour, minimal head. Aroma contains a good amount of pure, sweet blueberries. Taste similar contains more blueberry than I recall from any beer before. Sour edge is light and crisp, focussing instead on that lovely blueberry fruit that takes over the palate. Pretty good.

Can at and thanks to James, 01/07/17. Crimson orange appearance with a decent off white head. Nose is big on blueberry, straw, grains, pomegranate. Taste comprises lightly soured berry fruits, tarte blueberries, balsa wood, light acidic tang, damp hay, Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Delivers a good blueberry profile which is well balanced and not to sweet but lacks the sour edge the style craves.

Keg tap at the Cambridge Blue. Colour is bluish purple, cloudy with a tiny layer of off-white head. Smells of blueberry juice with light touches of Merlot. Gentle tart taste: blueberry sweetness balances but there’s an agreeably light sourness which rests on the tongue. Slightly short finish with the ghosts of berry and oak floating on the aftertaste. Carbonation is heavy but not aggressive. Understated yet reasonably complex.
