Traditional Welsh Ale. Gwydion was a wizard and a hero from the legends of the Mabinogi which are rooted in Dyffryn Nantlle. Dark, strong and magical – Gwydion the legend and Gwydion the beer share many of the same attributes. The careful combination of natural ingredients and the brewing process itself create a tasty ale with a memorable flavour. Enjoy!

Bottle from Bodnant Welsh Food Hall. Aroma is earthy, malty. Fruit and berry edge. Clear chestnut. Thick foamy off-white head attempts to flee the glass. Tangy but sweet fruit and berries. Malts and a woody rasp then come through. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. Pleasant enough.

Bottle from Stori. Appearance - copper with a lovely foamy white head. Nose - orange, caramel and biscuit. Taste - caramel, honey, orange and chocolate liqueur. Enough biscuit just about, to balance the initial sweetness. Palate - medium bodied, creamy and roasty. Overall - interesting ale, this one!
