A 12% imperial stout. Unlike its namesake, you’ll want to invite this one in.

We've only gone and brewed up Death.

An imperial stout at an almighty 12%. Well balanced with rich, decadent chocolate reigning supreme. Blackcurrant and berry notes in the aroma with a touch of plum lingering in the background. It's the stout you need in your life, unlike it's namesake, you'll want to invite this one in.

Thank you very much Graham for this beer that keeps the good times going. Bon Imperial Stout.

440ml can. Poured a clear black colour with a frothy broken off-white head. The aroma is big roasty malt, chocolate liquorice. The flavour is moderate sweet and liqourice bitter, with a smooth, rich, roasty, chocolate, liqourice, liqourice, warm alcohol bitter palate. Full bodied white soft carbonation.

On tap at The Colmore, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out leather, medium roast, burnt sugars and alcohol. Flavour is boozy, with burnt sugars, dark roasted malt, booze, and molasses. Very strong, with molasses, burnt sugars, and dark roasted malt. Boozy and hot but complex and well-balanced. Very good.

Can from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a creamy tan head. Aroma of slightly burnt malt and chocolate. Full bodied. Flavor is chocolate, dark fruits and burnt malt coming up in support. Fruit seems plummy. Chocolate is not super dark. Not milk either tho. Not dry, tho drier than expected. Nicely bitter.

16oz can from Tavour. Dark brown pour, instant foamy beige head, shrinks but lingers. Rich chocolatey aroma, sweet, roasty. Taste continues with the sweet, dark chocolate, light roasty bitterness. Thick, creamy smooth. A hint of ABV lurks in the background.
