Bottled. A light yellow perry. The aroma has notes of soap and pears. The flavor is sweet with notes of rotten pears, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Vintage 2010. Pours a clear pale yellow with a white head. Very odd artificial aroma. Medium body, a little sweetness and then these odd fruity accents that don’t appear like anything else really - and certainly not pears. Chemical finish. 230212

Brought across the pond and shared by a friend. Poured a deep clear golden color. Still so no head. Smells of non descript pomme fruit with just a hint of sulfur that was gone before my second sip. Smell is fruity sweet with barely a touch of oak. If the label hadn’t said perry I’m not sure I wouldn’t have mistaken this for a cider. Taste is smooth and sweet. More apple than pear flavor with hints of vanilla and oak. Medium to thin body, Still, with a sweet fruity mouthfeel. This is my first perry, I was kind of expecting something different. I thought this was fairly tasty, although it seemed a bit boring. The oak was barely there and I’d heard perry would have a bit of tartness. Malolactic fermentation?

Bottle. Pours clear yellow with a few bubbles. Slightly dank, funky aroma with plenty of pears. Very sweet, with some dirty mustiness and strong booze notes. Light to medium in body with fine, fizzy carbonation and some warmth. Finish is quite sweet, lightly dry and dank. Not bad overall.

Pale yellow in colour with slight carbonation. Light, slightly tart pear aroma with a hint of wood. Flavour began with some sweetish pear juice, followed by a hint of spice, oak and dryish finish. Ok.

Bottle 500ml. @ [ Chris O’s pre NYE Tasting ].
[ Vintage 2007 ]. Clear light to medium yellow color with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, white head. Aroma is sour sweet pear. Flavor is moderate sweet and light acidic with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20081230]

Bottle from Waitrose, Thame, Oxon, 27-07-07 Poured more golden than I was expecting, sweet pears, some nice oakiness, dry towards end, quite tasty but a bit too sweet and also quite heavily carbonated, less is more!

500ml bottle from Waitrose. Silver, gold colour with no head, but quite carbonated. Delicate pear aroma. Sweetish pear in mouth, or is that the alcohol? Some woodiness on aroma and end from the oak casks I guess. It is quite sweet. Pear juice flavour is nice but a bit too carbonated and a bit too sweet.
