Sampled from bottle @ RBBWG 2018, hosted by Beerlovers Bar, Antwerp. Hazy amber color, medium to full sized off-white to beige head. Aroma is malts, dark fruits lightly, apple and lots of spices. Taste malts, caramel, caramelised sugars, apple, spices, sweet. Too much spices for me.

75cl bottle, thanks Ibrew2or3 for the bottle; Cuivrée sur léger voile, col beige. Arôme offre un bouquet finement épicé mettant bien en avant la cannelle, petit rétro indiquant un effet pomme caramélisée avec un effet épice-all spices donnant ce coté hivernal. Palais est malté, caramel, le tout me rappel le pain pumpernikel, pain d'épices, pointe de cannelle, le tout avec l'age présente une touche d'oxydation, complété par un côté anisé. Douceur perce en fin de bouche, sirop d'érable. gingembre est moyen et ne domine pas trop l'ensemble.

F: big, tan, good retention. C: dark brown, hazy. A: caramel malty, sugary, fruity, bit honey, herbal, cinnamon, spicy. T: malty, herbal, spicy, ginger, cinnamon, bit vinous even, medium to full body, medium carbonation, not bad for me, enjoyed, 75cl bottle sampled @ RBBWG (10/03/2018), many thanks Sebletitje.

Thank you Sebletitje! 750 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBWG VI (2018). Dark brown amber, little tanned head. Nose is cloying cooked apple, spice with oxidation. Oxidized, some age possibly on the bottle, cloying oxidized sugar, low metallic, cooked apple, stale sweet spices, old candy,. I get where they were going with this but yeah too much stale cloying apple & spice for me.

Pretty cloudy chestnut brown beer, big fizzy aery irregular light brown to grey head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: weird, very spicy, apple sauce, alcohol and caramel. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: surprisingly bitter start, bit sweet, lots of apple sauce. Aftertaste: bit metallic, spicy, nutmeg.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a clear amber body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma bursts with sweet smelling notes. I get molasses, apple, spicy licorice, brown sugar and then black strap molasses spiciness and candied ginger. The taste delivers smooth sweet malts, sweet apple sauce, cinnamon and molasses. It picks up a molasses sweetness toward the finish. Nice.

Subtle and nicely done - im noticing this is these guys’ trend like duck faces on instagram girls. Hazy brown pour with decent head. Smell of booze, and some apple. Light ginger and nutmeg. Tap at Churchkey.
