Hazy IPA by Garage in Barcelona, one of those European craft breweries strongly associated with the style β and quite renowned for it outside of Spain, too. Mousy, snow white, thick but relatively quickly dissolving head on a hazy yellow blonde beer with greenish tinge. Aroma of lemon candy, mango chutney, passionfruit juice, starfruit, dough, touch acacia honey, rambutan, melting butter. Freshly hop-fruity onset, lots of mango, some passionfruit and lime, medium carb, soft doughy malt βsoilβ soaked in sweetish-sourish, very colourful and bright hoppiness, citrusy and sultry-tropical, with mango, starfruit and passionfruit dominating; actual hop bitterness remains very mild, but as a whole the beer is not too sweet so this does not bother me too much. A lovely βyellow-greenβ NEIPA; crisp and radiant, with very high drinkability. Very good in this style.

5/XII/20 - 44cl can from DOK Brewing Company (Gent) (I think?), shared @ home, BB: 10/VI/21, canned: 10/VI/20 (2020-1101)
Clear pale yellow beer, big creamy irregular white head, unstable, falls down to a small layer of white foam, bit adhesive. Aroma: fruity, some citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruits, pineapple. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: soft bitterness, tropical fruits, lots of citrus, grassy, little chemical, hoppy. Aftertaste: bit grassy, citrus, bit watery, bit resinous, tropical fruits, grapefruit, nice one! Probably a bit too old though. :(

440ml Can from Whole Foods, Knightsbridge. Drunk once in the safety of Shropshire. Pale gold, light haze, frothy white head. Fresh zesty character overall, good zesty citrus nose, nicely rounded, good bitterness. Great sessionable pale overall with subtle tropical nuances.

Can from Gedeelde Vreugde. Pours hazy yellow with a very thin, white head. Aroma of pomelo, mandarin peel, dank grapefruit, pineapple, pepper, dough. Taste has sweetish pomelo, pineapple, sourish citrus zest, bitter grapefruit & spices, ending dry & floral hoppy with bittersweet tropical fruit & citrus. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Not your classic IPA, nice accents to it and sessionable.

Remarkably clean and smooth for garage, but I guess that goes with the session. Tropical notes, clean finish
