The fresh coconut addition perfectly accentuates the beer’s roasty, nutty character. The lactose gives a rounded mouthfeel & suggestion of sweetness resulting in the perfect combination of flavors in this first-time release from Firestone Walker.

Dark amber with dark off white head - DArk malt , choclate and some hints of coconut in the aroma - Dark malt body with some chocolate and some coconut flaovurs and there is some bitterness as well - The dark malt with chocolate and coconutty flavour goes into the finish - This was good

Can. Pours a clear brown with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has roast and earthy sweet dark grains with a bit of coconut underlying. Flavor has earthy dark grain with a light roast and just a hint of coconut backing.

150ml draught at Agenturet Øl og Vinbar. Shared with Frau Eva. Solid upper part lacing on the glass from a patchy, beige head. Coal black in the glass. Promising aromas of chocolate and nuts, lightly smoked. Well-blended taste of chocolate, coconut, and biscuit, lactose backbone. Rounded malt-driven finish, nicely roasted. Well pleased with this one. (Tromsø 13.05.2020).

Can. Wine Rack, Sharrow, Sheffield. Clear, dark brown. Thin and fairly dense, lasting, beige head. Nose has toasted coconut. Well done bread crust. Light coffee malt. Taste is chocolate syrup sweet, with a decent hit of roast malt bitterness. Light to medium body. Fine carbonation. Bittersweet finish. Nice sweet stout.

22/4/2020. Sample courtesy of the SHIG, cheers! Pours dark mahogany brown with a maroon tint and a small beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, coconut, moderate roasted malt, creamy toffee, nut and dark fruits. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, slight creamy texture, soft carbonation. The coconut doesn’t overpower. Bit sweet to finish. Quite drinkable.
