Some legends have to be honored, and this time it's The Dude, Walter and Donny, the main trio of an epic spectacle and ode to laziness, The Big Lebowski! 2018 marks 20 years since its initial release, and we decided to combine it with an experimental hop variety - HBC 438. The result is American style IPA that we named Hill 438. Fun fact: the promotion of the beer coincided with The Hop Breeding Company's announcement that the HBC 438 variety is no longer experimental and is being officially released as SABRO™.
Hill 438 is standard American IPA - dry and easy with a bitter finish. HBC 438 hop provides additional complexity with coconut flavor and peach/apricot aroma.

Can @Saxo. clear golden, white head. Malty, fruity aroma, altea-candy, sweet citrus. Bitter flavour, grapefruit, perfumy grapefruit, some malty backing. A little thin.

Can @ Saxo tasting. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity and moderate hoppy - citrus and pine. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 200321

Silky white head with medium to moderate retention. Dark orange to amber color. Herbal, stone fruit aroma. Taste hop forward, very bitter, tangerine and grapefruit ahead. Some maltiness,and sabro didn't do any job. Medium (to moderate) body. High bitterness all the way,especially in aftertaste which lasts long. Dry finish. Refreshable for this high bitterness. Nice one!

Can. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity piney grapefruit hoppy aroma. Fruity malty piney hoppy bitter grapefruit flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter piney grapefruit finish.

Can, 0.5l. Hazy orange/copper pour, one finger frothy off-white head. Medium retention, good lacing on the glass. Fruity, herbal nose, slight spiciness, hints of pineapple. Medium to full body, lively carbonation. Thick and chewy mouthfeel and texture, very smooth on the palate. Bitter taste with subtle malt sweetness in the background. Fruity aroma, strong pineapple notes, peach, ripe tropical fruits, citruses. Caramel malt in the background, sweet, hints of candy. Vanilla, herbal spiciness. Dry, slightly sticky, lingering bitterness on the tongue, subtle alcohol presence. Long lasting finish. Quite tasty.

Sampled at swaff 2018. Thnx for sharing. Everyone ! Pours unclear amber. Smell is funky, pot pourri. Taste is sharp. Citrussy. Pot pourri. Not great. The aftertaste is pretty good tho.

On tap at various locations. Pours hazy orange with medium white head. Medium hoppiness in aroma, some tropical fruit, peach, smooth texture, light sweetness, light to moderate dry bitter finish. Quite juicy, easy drinkable. Medium bodied.

Draft at Fakin courtesy of Iznogud, thanks! Bright clear golden color white head. Nice aroma of tropical fruit. Taste is bittersweet stonefruit, nicely balanced. Delicious.
