We celebrate our fourth anniversary of Bruery Terreux with Annuel (2019). This vintage features a special blend of our oak barrel-aged sour quadrupel ale, with our bourbon barrel-aged English-style old ale, blended using the solera method, and our wine barrel-aged sour blonde ale.

Aus der Flasche (bottled 09.04.2018) im 2021-05 getrunken. Dieses rotbraune Sour Ale kann von den Aromen seine Beziehung zum Quadrupel Tonnellerie oder Anniversary Old Ale nicht verhehlen. In der Nase erinnert es an einen sehr kräftigen Flämish Red - Toll! Am Gaumen ist die Säure sehr kräftig. Auf die Dauer wird die Säure für mich sogar etwas zu viel. Etwas mehr Balance der Säure würde das Bier etwas umgänglicher machen. Das Weinfasseinfluss von dem Blond Ales wird mit etwas Wärme deutlich und bringt ein weitere Aromakomponeten ins Glas. Ein wunderbares Ale - es wäre noch besser wenn die Säure etwas balancierter wäre. Ein Schuss eines Quardruple ins Glas hilft hier sofort und macht es zum Traumstoff!

2019 bottle shared at DACBE New Year's share. Pours a deep ruby to copper brown with a finger of beige foam that dissipates. Sweet malt aromas with bourbon, oak and light vinous cherry aromas. Almost like an oud bruin. Balanced on the finish with oak and tartness.

750ml garnet amber with off white head. Nose has port, pomegranate, some red wine vinegar, some caramel notes. Flavor is the same with booze. Full hot finish. 8 3 8 3 14
