Bottle at home. Very dark brown with fluffy beige head. Raspberries up front, earthy, soft toffee, light oak, caramel, soft whisky, light tannins, dead leaves, roasted malts. Over medium sweet and bitter, light tart. Full bodied with light astringent tannic finish. Nice beer!

From the bottle. Dark brown with a creamy, light beige head that lingers for the duration. Vinous aroma with red currant tang. Taste is sweet up front with mild molasses notes but rapidly goes quite tart, full of berries and port wine, but with woody undertones. Finishes verges between sour and bitter. Body is thick, warming, carbonation is mild. Pleasant.
