Keg at Taproom Malmo. It pours black with a small tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, coffee, toasty, liquorice, umami, coffee cake and toffee. The taste is slick chewy malt, roasted action, chocolatey powder, light alcohol, sticky liquorice, warming alcohol and black pepper with a bitter - sweet finish. Medium - full body, fine carbonation and slick mouth - feel. Nice example of the style.

Shared at a tasting, small creamy bubbly head, opaque almost completely black color, aroma of coffee and charred notes with something honish in the back, flavor of licorice, coffee, honey and sweets, quite sweet but still with a noticable bitterness, though a bit heavy. Nice.

Deep brown, creamy beige head. Nose of coffee, roast, alcohol. Medium body. Sweetish roasty taste with notes of coffee, wine, boozy enough. Generally good

From a Russian person: pours near black with a small beige head. Aroma is light bits of chocolate, some fresh coffee, and a tad bit of the roasted malt. Taste is molasses at the front and the gets to all that bitterness at the back. Pretty nice baltic porter. Good to see a style that Russians know getting a nice and refined micro treatment.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks zvikar. 2009 bottle. Black with a tan head. Aroma of caramel, licorice, a bit of chocolate and some dark fruits. Sweet flavor with a bit of roast, caramel, a bit of chocolate, licorice, a light coffee hint and a drier finish, slightly bitterish. Medium-bodied.
