Defying all logic, this imperial mutant IPA/Stout was created by divine intervention. Seriously.
During a Taptakover one night with the little rascals at Van Moll, a certain beer beatnik got
the bright idea to mix our Dr. Raptor Imperial IPA with their Ons Blacky Imperial Stout and...
Sweet Jesus! They say imperial powers aren’t made overnight, but that’s B.S. This Doctor Manhattan gamma bomb proves otherwise. True story, my friends. True story.
There must be some people that wonder, Black & Tan? Never heard of that beer style. If you haven't, You will find it out now! The Black & Tan beer style derives its name from the blending of two beers of different colors. First of all, a pale ale to represent the "Tan". Topped off with a dark beer to get the "Black". Usually these dark beers are stouts, and in our case it's Van Moll's Imperial stout; Ons Blacky.
The combination of our Imperial IPA and Imperial stout makes one of the finest Black & Tans you will ever see. Best of both worlds as we call it. The ABV percentage of 9.5% dubbed this beer as a "take it slow" kinda beer (although that's entirely up to you, we won't tell). This Uiltje and Van Moll Collaboration; Black & Tan is available now!

From tap at Café De Gezelligheid, Zwolle. Aroma is roasted malt with chocolate, coffee, hoppy notes, more roast, some fruits, mocha. Pretty bitter, mild sweet. Good body, above medium, solid beer.

Draft. A dark chestnut colored beer with a laizing brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, citrus fruits, and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of citrus fruits, hops, roasted malt, and chocolate, leading to a bitter finish.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 27 Feb 2020) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, milky coffee, roasted nuts and caramel. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, milky coffee, caramel and a balanced roasty bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Quite powerful, but really tasty and well balanced. Very nice.

Blik gedeelt met BartvG, HilligvG en LiekevdV. Het is een donkerbruin bier met een beige schuim. Het heeft een gebrande geur met tonen van gedroogd fruit. De smaak is fruitig, bitter, dry, as achtig.
