There must be some people that wonder, Black & Tan? Never heard of that beer style. If you haven't, You will find it out now! The Black & Tan beer style derives its name from the blending of two beers of different colors. First of all, a pale ale to represent the "Tan". Topped off with a dark beer to get the "Black". Usually these dark beers are stouts, and in our case it's Van Moll's Imperial stout; Ons Blacky.
The combination of our Imperial IPA and Imperial stout makes one of the finest Black & Tans you will ever see. Best of both worlds as we call it. The ABV percentage of 9.5% dubbed this beer as a "take it slow" kinda beer (although that's entirely up to you, we won't tell). This Uiltje and Van Moll Collaboration; Black & Tan is available now!

Can in the garden, picked up in Sterk Amsterdam, last time I was able to travel! Pours black, aroma has bathe elements of the imperial stout and the IPA, taste is cracking, smooth, hoppy, well balanced blend with the roasted notes and ash of Blackie. Two great beers, marry well here.

0.33 l can from 'Het Biermoment', canned on Christmas Day 2019. Slightly opaque, dark ruby with a medium large, frothy, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, roasty, fruity-resiny aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, tropical fruits, blueberry and some pine. Quite sweet, malty, gently roasty, rather resiny and gently fruity taste of dark chocolate, licorice, coffee, blueberry, some pine and a touch of tropical fruits, followed by a medium long, quite roasty-bitter, moderately earthy, gently resiny finish. Full body, smooth and creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Even better than the two - already good - base beers, a 'marriage parfait'. And rateable!

Can. Brown pour. Aroma of orange, chocolate, licorice, stale coffee, malt and grapefruit. Flavor has bitter grapefruit, caramel, chocolate, orange, licorice, coffee, citrus, malt and quite some booze. It's indeed very much a blend of two beers, but I like them better seperately.

Tap at Hoptic festival. Almost clear dark brown with beige head. Hazelnuts, walnuts, bitter hops, roasted malts, soft citrus, earthy notes, sour berries, toffee. Over medium sweet and bitter, light tart. Over medium bodied. Weird.
