Draught. Hazy dark copper colour. Tight, creamy white head. Low carbonation. Watery flavour. Aftertaste is very mild and boring. Not bitter. Not a pils.

An amber beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is hoppy with notes of caramel. The flavor is sour with notes of caramel and lots of aroma hops leading to a lightly bitter end. The body is thin.

Fully clear pale-amber; spritzily carbonated to good, dense cream-coloured head. Very malty nose, both pale & ambrée malts, sweet but fresh herbal smell also. Aroma of freshly separated double cream. Short bitterish onset, subsequently softening when the sweet malts appear, cookie-like. Retronasal and the tonguesides tell it however: here’s some serious hopping done. Flavour is again very herbal. Well bodied for a bottom-fermenting beer of only 5.1%. Slightly slick, long bitterish hop-aromatic aftertaste. I agree with Vienna because of the colour and the malts. But the hopping is entirely in the Northern German Pilsener style. I’m wondering at some of the comments that this wouldn’t be hoppy enough! Not for a Westcoast IPA, no... AND I like this - thanks Yogi & Pivo!

Sieht eher nach einem Dunkel aus, was sich im Geschmack zum Glück nicht wiederspiegelt. Alles in allem ein sehr leckeres Bier mit herausragendem Nachgeschmack der sehr lange anhält. Test vom 12.9.2004, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 6,14,10,14,11,12 - 11,65

Bottled. Thanks Yogi_Beera!! Amber colour. Aroma of "Fünf Kräuter" (herbal, medicinal). Sweet, medium bodied and mild with low bitterness. About as far from a pils as you can make a lager. Odd, but quite pleasant.

Cloudy, orangey-coloured, with a malt accent. I know they call it a pils, but my personal call would be Vienna. Especially from Hamburg, it just isn't that hoppy to be a pils. Good fresh, character though.
