Tap at the Aldgate. Wonderful tropical nose with big orange, pineapple and mango notes. Average to above average carbonation with a well-balanced but juicy fruity flavors stand out. Pithy bitterness towards the finish with some light dryness. Very nice. --- Beer merged from original tick of Uetake #062 Half Step Pale Ale (Ver. 2) on 28 Jan 2016 at 18:35 - Score: 8

Tap at Komachi. Amber orange, a bit hazy, with a fine, low head. Nice spicy hop nose, oranges, a bit of pine, toasty malt. Rounder, and fuller than their usual beers because of the different yeast. A bit sweeter too, both things good. Nice malt character. Hops just so-so. Ok but not all that exciting.

Draft at Ushitora. Hazy copper orange with a small head. Orange, tangerine, bready malt on the nose. Taste is more of the same with the citrus really standing out. Very well-balanced. Nice light bitter finish. Pretty conservative but well done. --- Beer merged from original tick of Uetake #027 Half Step Pale Ale (ver. 1) on 06 Aug 2015 at 18:58 - Score: 7
