Black, thick, smoooth. Smells chocolatey, bourbon, rich. Thick body. Taste is lovely complex, plenty of bourbon, chocolatey malts, bitter, hint of cinnamonish spicyness. Reveal: Nice! Very complex and plenty of flavour. Real yum.

Bottle at home. Opaque black color, small beige to medium dark brown head. Aroma is malts, a bit sweetish, maybe a light note of cinnamon. Flavor is similar: malts, sweetish again a bit but also a nice malty bitterness and some liquor it seems. Overall though malty bitters dominate, I can't really pinpoint the different flavors tbh, but I really like it. Very enjoyable. Pricy but good.

650ml bottle. Jet black colour with small to average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, tan head. Slightly roasty, chocolately, dark malty, minimally boozy aroma, rich notes of chocolate, dark chocolate, chocolate cake, devil's food cake, some dark caramel, a touch of Bourbon. Taste is sweet, chocolately, slightly roasty, dark malty, notes of chocolate, dark chocolate, chocolate cake etc., some Bourbon, dark caramel, dark toffee, alcohol; warming, alcoholic finish. Oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, medium to fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Very chocolately, a little bit too boozy - good.

650 ml bottle. Black body, with a small, creamy, coffee-colored head. Aroma of dark chocolate fudge, coffee, soy sauce, liquorice, coffee, some dark fruits, some bourbon. Tastes quite similar, with more roasty-bitter coffee. Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes roasty-bitter, dry, wooden, with coffee, liquorice, tobacco, soy sauce, bitter chocolate. Tasty, while I was expecting even a bit more. A bit too much on the bitter end of roastiness for me, while still really interesting, with some lovely chocolate fudge and coffee notes. The ABV is well hidden. Overall a very nice sipper. Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 16
