clear dark brown beer, very syrupy thick texture when pouring, thick solid creamy beige head, pretty solid, little adhesive. Aroma: sweet, malty, caramel, lots of dried fruits, soft roast. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body, cloying thick texture. Taste: very sweet start, very roasted, bitter, caramel, lots of dried fruits. Aftertaste: pretty hoppy, little sour, lots of dried fruits, plums, raisins, syrupy, sugary, mocha, bit hoppy. Wow, what a beer!

[9/21/15] Draught at Le Trappiste in Bruges. Murky brown. Aroma of caramel, roast, dark fruits, licorice, spiciness. Sweet flavor with chocolate, roast, dark fruits, caramel, spiciness, some alcohol, and a bitterish finish. Medium-bodied.
