White Angel is patiently and painstakingly aged in 500L puncheons with 2 pounds per gallon of whole, North Carolina-grown Muscadine grapes. After maturation in these neutral oak vessels, this sour is re-fermented on an additional 2 pounds per gallon of Muscadines to impart a tannic grape character. A total of 4 pounds per gallon of fruit renders White Angel the absolute essence of wild grapes in a glass.

Hazy yellow gold with a small white head. Dry and intensely tart with mustiness, wood, white grape and booziness. Very long finish. Medium body.

Floral nose, gentle acidity, very well balanced. Lots of grapes throughout. I’m getting a bit of something reminding me of cinnamon red hots, not overwhelming, but just a hint somehow.

Bottle. Opaque orange color with white head. Aroma is barrel funk, white grapes, apricots, quite some balsamico too. Taste is super juicy peach fruits, barrel funk, a lot of refreshing juiciness, citric acidity and balsamico in the back without starting to burn, just on the edge. The aroma makes you expect a bit too much acidity, but the flavour is an extreme fruit explosion, really really great!

Hazy, golden orange, 1 finger head. Mmmm smells really good like a sweet white wine oak barrel with muscadine and grape must skin. Oooh it is muscadine. Grew up eating these behind our house in Alabama. Lemon and honey. Great finish.
