We’ve only gone and dropped the C-Bomb! This Citra bombed session IPA is made from a simple pale ale malt base and loads and loads of Citra hops added in the last 20 minutes of the boil. It’s then cooled and “hop bombed” with even more whole leaf Citra to make a relatively low bitterness beer with lots of tropical fruit flavour and aroma.

Clear pale amber with a frothy, almost creamy white head, and a soft citrus fruit aroma. Smooth, light bodied, with citrus hops and light biscuit malt well balanced with a dry bitter finish

Third, cask, shared with Finn at Big Hand Alehouse. Low white head, clingy lacing, clear warm golden body. Moderate aromas of ripe fruit and earthy malts. Mid-sweet hop fruity taste, hints of lemon and grainy malts. Rounded ending with a bitter bite. Satisfying. (Chester 26.01.2020).

Keg at Beer Dock, Nantwich, 23/03/19. Pale golden blonde with an off white head. Nose is grass, melon, lemon rind, toasted grains. Taste comprises straw, vague citric presence, airy malts, crackers. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Pretty dull.

Hand-pulled cask pint on 27th Jan 2019; Pheasant Inn, Wellington Shropshire. golden body, clean and clear; white crown on top. Tropical fruit esters rule the nose with orange and mango's to the fore. Taste also citrus fruit centric with again mango and orange at the front, decent malty base for balance and maybe not as 'citrusy' as my review might indicate.

Can from Wincle brewery. Hazy pale golden body with a thin white head that holds well. Fine carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of floral hops and grapefruit. Flavour of lemon, white grape and pale malt. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Light fizz. Soft and fruity - very enjoyable.
