Le Poisson Doré is a luxurious strong barrel-aged saison with a golden touch: We added boiled blood oranges to enrich the complex yeast profile of the Saison and Brettanomyces yeasts. A perfect beer for the winter season.

We named it after the golden fish caught by a poor fishing couple in a tale by Pushkin. They returned the fish to the sea and were granted wishes in return, but greed got the better of them. We hope you’ll treasure the encounter with this fish more and share this wealth – so your wishes will be granted.

From tap at Foeders, Amsterdam. Barrel notes including oak and vanilla, marmalade, spicy yeast, bready malt, ripe fruits, orange. Bit sweet with a hint of tartness. Medium body. Sweet, ripe, fairly heavy but not boozy. One to sip on.

THT Halloween. Hazy orange. Sweet and sour fruit purée, malty, strange and enjoyable but quite fierce booze department. Smooth feel.

Bottle at THT October. Bit of a gusher. Hazy orange golden with huge white head. Soft funk, spicy yeast, apricot, sweet malts, yoghurt, alcohol. Sol9d sweet, lighter bitter. Over medium bodied, slightly dry, slight boozy. Too much alcohol but otherwise nice.

Zoetig, plakkerig, beetje kruidig, beetje funky. Niet kapot van deze, normaal wel fan van deze brouwerij.

Bottle shared. Orange color, medium sized white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, typical saison-ish, although less yeasty. Quite alright.

Bottle. Color: Hazy orange golden, off-white head. Aroma: Spicy Saison yeast, sourish, orange notes. Taste: Herbal, yeasty, wheat and rye malt, subtle blood orange notes. Smooth mouthfeel. Moderate sweet, light sour and moderate bitter. Bittery and fruity finish. Slightly boozy, alcohol is hidden well. Over medium body, low carbonation. Nice.
