First brewed on Pescadero Avenue, which is located in the coastal San Diego town of Ocean Beach. Pescadero Pilsner pours a light, golden color with a bright white head. It has aromas of bready pilsner malt and a grassy, floral Saaz hops. There is a light to moderate amount of lingering bitterness and lemon citrus flavor from the hops. With a touch of dry hopping and an elevated ABV, this Pilsner-inspired, cold fermented lager is both traditional and new world at the same time.

On tap several times in the last week. Pours with a lightly hazed/keller gold hued body with a fully retentive white head that leaves great lace. Aromas are strongly hoppy, herbal, slightly rustic, light tea notes, medium bready malt character, dry, grassy, hoppy and clean. Flavors are bready, soft pils like malt, clean, herbal hops that finish a bit grassy. Really crisp. Very light apple like finish, low sulfur. Lively bubbles and dry with medium-low body. A really decent Pils.

Sample at the Linda Vista location (not officially on tap yet - the brewer was kind enough to serve a sample glass out of a plastic water bottle). The beer is a hazy bright yellow color with a medium thick and rocky ivory white head that diminishes slowly. Saaz hops and fruit in the nose, with a touch of musty wood barnyarded-ness. Light-bodied and moderately hoppy with notes of spices, fruit, cobwebs and grass. The finish is midly spiced with a fruity aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
