Bottle from De Caigny, batch 402 BB 25-10-2018, large sample. Hazy golden color, enormous rocky head. Aroma of grainy malt, grassy and herbal hop (almost pilsener like), some lemon, spicy yeast, slight funky. Seeing the slight gusher, I suspect a slight wild yeast infection. Hoping it doesnt make it too sharp bitter. Ouch, bitterness is actually ok, but the big carbonation stings. Guess its better to leave it a bit for the carbo to wear out a bit. I doubt it is intended this way, and as it was, it is completely off balance. I like funky yeast and hop, but the balance is so hard to do well. Even Crooked Stave struggles with that with their Hop Savant series. So, not really good.

33 cl bottle, Jonsered version. BB 0612-16, B/N 005.Hazy golden color, big white head. Hoppy, citrus scent. Hoppy, bitter taste. Bitter, resin aftertaste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.I remember the Mölnlycke version as less hoppy and this one more popping from Jonsered.

Flaska från SB. Smak och doft av humle, jäst, citrus, granskott, örter med toner av tall. Fruktig, brödig med fina smaker i bra balans. Lagom sötma, fin fyllighet, lätt kropp, fin beska. Mycket gott!

Flaska från SB. Bärnstensfärgad, disig med medelhögt vitt skum. Doft av fruktig/bärig och blommig engelsk jäst som är riktigt fin. Lätt men stabil kropp för stil, jag tänker engelsk bitter med bra balans, fyllighet, drickvänlighet där humlen märks men maltbasen spelar huvudrollen. Och det här smakar som en riktigt bra bitter vilket någonstans är riktigt sorgligt eftersom man tydligen måste kalla en sådan för Session IPA för att gå och sälja. Det här är riktigt bra. Nötigt, kastanjer, nybakat bröd, blommande sommaräng, örter, lite kalk, fruktkompott. Ett stort öl i litet format i löjlig förpackning.
