A full-bodied ale with hints of pumpkin pie, brown sugar and spices. We brew this ale with real pumpkin and spices and allow it to slowly age to bring out the full aromas and tastes. It’s a wonderful way to savor fall’s best flavors.

12 ounce bottle from Total Wine Virgina Beach. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a large foamy off-white head. Decent head retention. Big spice aroma with a bit of sweet pumpkin. The taste is tart pumpkins, caramel and a pumpkin spice finish. Medium bodied. Decent.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright orange-caramel color with a medium sized orange-tan head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was sour and tangy with strong nutmeg and cinnamon. The flavor was tangy, bready and earthy with definite pumpkin and moderate notes of cinnamon and nutmeg. There was a light toasted caramel undertone. Medium length tangy caramel, bread and cinnamon. Solid.

Shared a 12oz bottle. Poured a medium orange color with a slightly off-white head. Aroma was spices, some pumpkin notes. Flavor was pumpkin notes, pie characteristics there too. About average but drinkable.

Wew, a new one from steggie, they must want to get in on the pumpkin action, a niche they think they should be part of. Decent pour, brownish with a tad of orange, looks like a dark hefe. No head and there is sediment on the bottom of the bottle. Yea, a little pumpkin in the smell but for the most part it smells like an old aged high gravity lager or american malt lik. First taste is typical pumpkin but it does have some real pumpkin pie flavors down in there, more so than most punky beers. Does seem to have more alky in ther than most punks. Decent co2 which makes this beer more acceptable. Malty medium strong aftertastefollows each slug. After all these years, I can’t really get used to these pumpkin beers. I find the sweeter ones that taste like real pumpkin pie to be the best and this one leaves something to be desired in that aspect.

Cinnamon, allspice, pumpkin aroma, well proportioned and nice intensity. Clear auburn, thin head. Thin body. Pumpkin and allspice, not strong, but quaffable. Cinnamon finish. A very well crafted sessionable pumpkin ale. Pumpkin ales for me are usually one and done. They are too gimmicky. This doesn’t blow you over, but it is flavorable and enjoyable, not too gimmicky. One of the the few pumpkin beers I could drink repeatedly.
