330ml bottle into schooner glass. Nose is lemony malt (if this is possible). Yellow beer with small lasting white head. Hardly any carbonation. Medium bodied with chalky mouthfeel, intense bitterness fades to floral hop finish. Very nice.

Bottle from Don Quijote Shibuya store for what I think was only 157 yen. Pours clear, obviously filtered amber. Almost no head and low carbonation. Well, that’s actually what the descriptions is saying here. Aroma is quite subtle, just a bit of fresh caramel and freshly cut grass. Taste is really soft at first, low carbonation contributes to velvety mouthfeel I guess. Goes down easily and seems to have only some caramel and not much more... until the aftertaste reveals some fruitiness and also hops kick in and lingering dry bitterness coats your mouth. Actually better than I expected, has some tricks, pretty nice session beer. Would love to get this from cask.

Bottle from Cambridge Wine Merchants, Mill Road. Light sienna born, clear. Simple aroma of caramel and agave syrup. The taste is sweet throughout, and to be honest it gets a little bit sickly at the end. Too carbonated in the bottle for my liking. It’s ok, but not as good as I was expecting or hoping.

Bottle. Brought round ours by Pater. Clear, dark gold. Barely a head. Fusty malts. Noble hops. Bit of spice. I used to like this on draught. Either it’s changed, or I have. It’s ok. Bit malty and sweet. Bit dull, really.
