Swedish Berliner Weisse with mango puree, draught at Mikkeller Bar Stockholm, thanks to my girlfriend Goedele for sharing. As good as no head apart from some tiny snow white bubbles here and there around the edge but those too soon vanish; cloudy fruit juice yellow robe, looking very much like freshly made mango juice indeed. Aroma of mango chutney and mango juice (as expected), roux or even béchamel sauce, 'Vitabis' cookies, cod stewed in papillot with lemon and dill, pear jam, butter on warm bread, fruit puree for babies, lime flesh - quite special, to put it gently. Mellowly sour flavour, the lactic-yoghurty sourness is clear enough but significantly softened by the sweetness of mango juice but in a 'real', fresh kind of way rather than the mango puree effect I was expecting; soft carb, very fluffy, rounded mouthfeel. Smooth citrus flesh freshness comes up in the end, but the basic acidity remains, even if still softened by a cookie dough-like effect; ends mellowly sour with a sweetish core, lacking any bitterness to speak of. Bizarre and rather onedimensional sour-sweet fruit beer, quite unique but not necessarily unattractive in its aroma and in that sense rather memorable, if not my personal taste.

Tåkete gul med lavt hvitt skum. Lukter og smaker tydelig lynghonning. Noe sydhavsfrukt i lukt også, mango, ananas og noe floralsk. Middels fylde. Noe rask surhet i smaken. Lett appelsin.

Flaska på Stallyktan, Örebro. Ganska klar, blekgul med vit krona. Syrlig doft typisk för Örebro Brygghus. Nånstans i närheten av surdeg. I smaken frisk och syrlig med lite funkighet och en ganska snäll ton av mangopurén. Är inte en fruktvins, mangon är mer ett inslag än att den tar över smakbilden. Lätt och friskt!
