0.33 l bottle shared with Višnja666 and Goran Pilot. Dark brown to black. Small tan head. Roasty, dried fruits, leather. Sweet. Ash. Soft, smooth, roasty, light finish.

Pours dark brown, rather clear. Small white head. Smell is creamy, caramel, mild cocoa. Taste is fainted coffee  mild cocoa, caramelly, dark wood, ok. Bit simple perhaps.

At Hedonis Ambachtsfest, enjoyed in the company of the brewer. Medium thick, yellowish beige, creamy and stable head, blackish robe with ruddy hue. Aroma of hazelnut paste, diluted chocolate milk, rainwater, cold sugared tea, old black chocolate bars, acorn shells, haemoglobin-like iron, hints of leather and wet dog. Dried fig sweetishness mixed with vague blueberry-ish sourishness in the mouth, with the first factor dominating and lingering over the rest of the flavour 'parcours'; softly carbonated, bit oily, full mouthfeel, nutty and mildly chocolatey malt body, very caramelly also in combination with the residual sugars; black chocolate character at the back, with a bayleaf-like note and something thinly umami-like (beef stock). Leafy, spicy and chocolatey finish, soft hop bitterness, some lingering dried fruit sweetishness. Baltic porter originated as a local alternative to imperial stout in Eastern Europa when the Lager revolution was already at full strength - hence the bottom fermentation, exceptions like Sinebrychoff's Koff Porter aside; it is therefore a logical consequence that if you make one using top fermentation, you end up with a stout, and this Olga is in that sense much more a stout than a true Baltic porter. But a good one, admittedly.

Clear red brown beer, creamy beige head, very stable, adhesive. Aroma: very malty, grains, dried fruits, coffee. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: roasted, coffee, bit sweet, some caramel, malty. Aftertaste: hoppy bitterness, little sweet, some chocolate, caramel, dried fruits.
