Draft at Collective Arts Toronto. Opaque dark brown pour. Creamy tan cap. Roasted malt aroma hints at chocolate. Flavor is more of the same. Dark malts, chocolate and a bit of coffee. Rich and flavorful. Bitter hops on backend lend. Bitter, sticky finish.

Bottle from the brewery. Black pour, slight tinges of brown light come through, small beige head. Aroma is quite toasty, slightly sweet, nice coffee, and bitter cocoa notes, with subtle pine resin hoppy notes. Mouth feel is silky and the carb is light. Finish is medium bitter with a subtle cocoa sweetness, and hints of piney hops.

(Can) Dark brown colour, almost black, with creamy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark bread, prunes, tobacco, dark chocolate and coffee. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, cacao, dark bread, prunes, tobacco, orange peel and a mild roasty bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a slight sweetness. Rich, solid and well made porter. Very nice.

Pours almost black, with a dimishing, tan head. Black metal logo lacing. Roasted aroma, sweetish, with light notes of vanilla, coffee. Flavour is the same, a wee bit tart. Light metallic overtone. Bitter coffee finish. Roasted. Lingering light grassy note. A wee bit too much carbonation. Overall pretty good, well-balanced. The aroma works a bit better than the flavour. 26.12.20. 330ml draft into a bottle from lowcostbeer. Black pour with a reasonable looking thickness, small tanned head, nice retention. Aroma of roasted malts, sweetness, chocolate, treacle, coffee. Taste is multi-layered with above mentioned notes, its sweet but with a roast-bitter finish to offset. Medium bodied but rather than smooth and soft carbonation instead we have a slick palate and a zingy to frothy carbonation but it really gets the flavours around the palate. Interesting, this is really good.

A great classic Porter. Dark pour. Medium and smooth body. Lightly roasted coffee under chocolate, caramel, some earthy notes. Finish is presently bitter. Good.
