Tap @ the brewpub, Quebec. Nice creamy tan head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, caramel and hops. Nice roasty finish. Smooth.

Jet black with a rich beige head. Dark chocolate and some anise. Rich roasty and burnt notes.

Testée à l'aéroport de Montréal chez Archibald. Belle robe noire et mousse café crémeuse. En bouche, veloutée, café, crème de marrons, notes d'olive, aqueuse car pas très forte mais quand même intéressant et pas trop sucrée.

On tap at Archibald - Montreal Airport, pours a deep dark red-tinged brown with a small brown head. Aroma brings out dry earthy notes and a touch of cocoa. Flavour is quite dry, with toasted malt, a little cocoa and bready notes. Fairly dry and creamy, but without depth. Meh.

Roast with some caramel. Pours black with mocha head and lacing. Some cloying sour finish. Ok. Tap at airport brewpub.

Good guinnessy head and black velvet body (black velvet if you pleez...). Charred coffee on the nose, charcoal and smoke but not in an appetizing way. Flavour is a soft and bitter burnt barley that finishes too sharp. Drinkable but needs tweaking.

En fût à l’aéroport. Couleur brune foncée presque opaque, mousse moka crémeuse persistante laissant une belle dentelle. Arôme de café, malt torréfié, soupçon de chocolat noir. Goût de malt torréfié, café. Carbonatation très faible, corps moyen-faible, crémeuse.

Black color with compact beige head. The weak but smooth body marries well the delicate bready roastiness.
As often happens to simple and imprecise breweries, the dark beer is the most pleasant.

A deep dark stout with a thick creamy and lacing mocha head. In aroma, a rather peaty chocolate malt with herbal notes, not bad. In mouth, a nice fruity bitter chocolate malt with coffee notes, well done. On tap at Archibald YUL.
