A DIPA collaboration with our friends from Brooklyn, Other Half Brewing. Along with our pale malt Golden Promise, the beer uses a reasonably large percentage of oats in the mash for a creamy body and soft mouthfeel.
A low bitterness target (for a DIPA) of around 60IBU was aimed for and Citra, Mosaic & Denali hops added to the whirlpool for loads of tropical/citrus flavour. We went heavy on the dry hopping with lots more Citra and Mosaic as well as some Simcoe, Amarillo & HBC 438. The finished beer has a really punchy aroma as well as a super juicy fruit like flavour and soft mouthfeel.

The taste is smooth, mellow bitterness, green, grassy, pine needles, dank, grassy, weed, apricot, peachy, juicy and lemonade with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Well rounded, juicy and dank. Tasty. Original rating was 8 - 4 - 8 - 4 - 16. Re - rate but a full can this time. So fresh and green and chuggable. Lovely. 9 - 4 - 8 - 4 - 17.

Can from Cork & Cask. Murky golden body with a thin white head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of mango, lime chutney and pine. Flavour of honey, lemon and mango. Medium body with a smooth, oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Fruity and very easy to drink.

Can, picked up at the brewery. Very hazy, pale orange amber. Foamy, frothy, sticky, just off white head. Nose has lemon marmalade. Sliced ripe nectarine. Squeezed orange and lemon. Some soft strawberry and mango. Some barley sugar sweets. I think what Iโm trying to say, is that itโs smells fantastic. The powdered hops seem well buried here. Taste is juicy and fruity bitter. Light hop spice. Soft, barley sugar sweetness on the lips. Smooth, fruit juice mouthfeel. Never feels the ABV. Juicy, fruity bitterness to finish. Lovely.
